Food Dark and Moody presets
Food Dark and Moody presets
So many of you have asked how I create images my dark and moody food images.
For years I’ve tweaked and worked on creating presets for myself to enhance my photos I capture in camera, to tell a more compelling visual story, and colour, depth and light plays a very imprint role in creating that.
To make it as approachable as possible for you, to help you get started, I’ve gathered four of my favourite presets for creating dark and moody food images, and made a collection for you.
Dive into the dark and moody side of food photography with these four presets, to hjelp enhance your photos and visual storytelling.
These presets will help you tell the stories from plate to table with depth and soul.
When using presets, or developing your own, always remember that every preset used will look different from each photograph you apply it to.
It all depends of the depth of field, the light source, camera, if its shot indoors our outdoors, and the temperature of the light, and in the exposure of your photograph, so just keep that in mind.
My best tip as you begin using these favourite autumn presets of mine developed for the English countryside is to adjust the exposure first, and see how that effects your photo after applying the preset, and then adjust the warm or cold tone in white balance.
I hope you will enjoy using them as much as I have enjoyed tweaking and creating them over the years.
