Story:

In the afternoon I popped to our local village shop fr some cheese, it was warm outside and the sun was still high on the horizon. I craved a strong cheese to go on a small cheeseboard before dinner. I had opened a new jar of pickled onions which is such a great companions to rich cheese, and my English gentleman had a bottle of local cider cooling in the fridge. During this challenging, and very uncertain time, just over a couple of weeks into lockdown, we tried to keep a steady rhythm of little happiness rituals flowing freely. Every day we’d sit down before dinner, enjoy some local charcuterie or cheese, and listing things we were grateful for. My mother always remind me that happiness lies in the little things, and a chunk of cheese and good company is one of them.

Print info:

This print is part of the #60daysofcreation created during lockdown in Marte Marie Forsberg’s cottage studio in the English countryside. Each image is printed on heavy weight rag paper, is hand signed and embossed with the photographer’s seal, and certificate of authenticity.
